Martian satellite orbits and ephemerides

چکیده
We discuss the general characteristics of the orbits of the Martian satellites, Phobos and Deimos. We provide a concise review of the various descriptions of the orbits by both analytical theories and direct numerical integrations of their equations of motion. After summarizing the observational data used to determine the orbits, we discuss the results of our latest orbits obtained from a least squares fit to

Polynomial interpolation of GPS satellite coordinates
The computation of satellite positions is a fundamental task in all GPS positioning software. The data needed for this computation can come in the form of a broadcast or a precise ephemeris. The broadcast ephemeris is available from the GPS, as a set of parameters is sent to the user via the navigation message. The parameters are updated by the control center quite frequently, approximately eve...
متن کاملComparison of Ultra-Rapid Orbit Prediction Strategies for GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou
Currently, ultra-rapid orbits play an important role in the high-speed development of global navigation satellite system (GNSS) real-time applications. This contribution focuses on the impact of the fitting arc length of observed orbits and solar radiation pressure (SRP) on the orbit prediction performance for GPS, GLONASS, Galileo and BeiDou. One full year's precise ephemerides during 2015 wer...
متن کاملOrbital Perturbation Effect on LEO Satellite Trajectory
A satellite, in its orbit, is affected by perturbing forces, such as atmospheric drag, solar radiation pressure, Earth oblateness, and gravity of the celestial masses (other than the Earth). In this paper, the effects of these forces on the trajectories of different types of LEO satellites and a sample satellite (Z-SAT) are discussed. A few analyses are done on these orbits and the relevant res...
متن کاملRobust Real - Time Wide - Area
The present invention provides a method and a device for providing superior differential GPS positioning data. The system includes a group of GPS receiving ground stations covering a wide area of the Earth’s surface. Unlike other differential GPS systems wherein the known position of each ground station is used to geometrically compute an ephemeris for each GPS satellite, the present system uti...
متن کاملGPS Signal-in-Space Anomalies in the Last Decade Data Mining of 400,000,000 GPS Navigation Messages
For the Global Positioning System (GPS), signal-in-space (SIS) performance is key to the positioning accuracy and the integrity. In practice, SIS anomalies occasionally happens and the consequent user range errors of tens of meters or even more have been observed. In this paper, all potential SIS anomalies in the last decade are screened out by comparing the broadcast ephemerides/clocks with th...
